SOME OF THE THINGS I CAN HELP WITH
FEELING SAD OR BLUE...
WORRIED, STRESSED OR ANXIOUS...
TROUBLE GETTING ALONG WITH OTHERS...
OR UNDERSTANDING THINGS...
Tools SOME OF THE APPROACHES I USE
Below are some of the approaches I use in my practice. Therapy and assessment will always start with getting to know you, your reasons for coming and your goals for therapy or assessment. From there we will talk through a plan for how you want to achieve your goals to make sure you're OK with what we are doing. Cool huh!
Family Systems Theory
Play based therapy
Creative engagement (art, doodles, stories, fun)
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Mindfulness & relaxation
Acceptance and Commitment Theory
(just a few cheeky ideas)
HOW MUCH YOUR SESSION WILL COST
(45 - 90 minutes per session)
PART OR FULL PAYMENT MAY BE COVERED
Rebates are available when you have been assessed and have a referral for therapy from a GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician. The GP may provide you with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative) which will give you access to up to 10 individual and 10 group treatment sessions per year.
If you have private health cover you may be eligible for a rebate from your insurer. Contact your provider for further information on the types of services and limits you are covered for.
WAYS TO MAKE YOUR PAYMENT
Can be made by cash, direct transfer, credit and EFTPOS. If you have an accout linked to Medicare, rebates will be processed at time of payment. More information on Medicare rebates and fees for psychology service can be found on the Australian Psychological Society website: https://www.psychology.org.au/for-the-public/Medicare-rebates-psychological-services/Medicare-FAQs-for-the-public
